You may have seen an announcement from UCOP regarding the implementation of the UC Phased Retirement Program for January 1, 2015, through December 31, 2019. The intent of the Phased Retirement Program is to help eligible employees who are 55 years or older transition into retirement and allow for longer-term planning for employees, their families and the unit they work in.
ANR has decided that it will not offer the program in 2015 to avoid adding to the workload of our already thin workforce. One of the primary guidelines in the program prohibits the department from adding capacity to offset a participating employee's reduction in time.
