To continue our aggressive effort in hiring Cooperative Extension Advisors and Specialists, I am announcing the release of positions for future rounds of hiring. We are very happy to announce that Kim Rodrigues has accepted the Hopland Research and Extension Center director position. She has been serving as the interim director for the Hopland REC since July 2014. Her role as permanent HREC director will begin January 2, 2015.
Kim has served UC ANR in several roles, including regional director, county director, UC Cooperative Extension forestry advisor and, most recently, executive director for the Academic Personnel Unit.
We are so pleased that Kim has accepted the position and look forward to her leadership in continuing to build a successful research and extension center.

Dan Dooley, senior vice president for External Relations and former VP for ANR, has announced he will be leaving the University of California at the end of the year.

The public comment period for the 2014 UC Cooperative Extension positions call has been completed, as of July 21. These comments are posted on the 2014 Call for Positions web page, and will be considered by the position review groups, UC ANR Program Council and Vice President Allen-Diaz. A diverse array of the Division's stakeholders actively participated in this process and we appreciate their interest and value their feedback.
The next step in our process is the internal review by UCCE county/multi-county partnership directors, UC ANR program teams, and the deans' offices from ANR affiliated colleges and schools. This process concludes on Monday, Aug. 18, with comments due...
