Beautiful photos! I find that my honey bees and the native bees tend to avoid the complex hybrid roses or any flower with a complex flower pattern. They do like the simple flower formation of the native roses. The "sparkle and shine" photo contradicts this. Do you find this foraging to be common?

Thanks. I took these photos where there are lots of bees; near the apiary of the Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility, UC Davis, and the bees were all over these floribundas. I purchased three of these Sparkle and Shine roses and took them home. Yes, they are attracting bees! However, bees seem to prefer the native roses. Most of the time when I see bees on roses, they're on native roses.
