What: 4-H Centennial at the State Fair
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: 4-H booth at the Industrial Arts Exhibit Hall – contests, give aways, and information about the exciting things happening in 4-H.
- 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:
4-H members age 12 to 19 will compete in an international cuisine cooking contest. Each round will feature a secret ingredient that must be included in each course. Each team will have 10 minutes to prep, then 50 minutes to cook a three-course meal. A judge will taste and the winners of each round will compete at 4 p.m. to determine the champion!
- Science, Engineering and Technology hands-on activities and demonstrations in State Fair building # 4. The 4-Hers' demonstrations cover a range of activities and include diverse topics and activities such as responsible pet ownership, how to make GACK (a gooey, moldable material), and junk drawer robotics.

The University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources delivers the 4-H Youth Development Program through UC Cooperative Extension in every California county. The 4-H Program provides high-quality educational experiences to more than 72,000 young people annually through clubs, camps, school enrichment and afterschool programming. The statewide 4-H program is powered by 17,000 local volunteers, who receive training and support from professional UC staff in best practices for youth development. There are about 1 million 4-H alumni in California, who are industry leaders in agriculture, government, education and technology, as well as engaged and philanthropic members of their communities.
