I'll look for this book when it's out. I think the problem he identifies with the locavore movement is differentiating between a movement and some of its members. I have heard locavores proclaim that theirs is the only sustainable model for the future: But I would disagree with his characterization that this is the consensus position of the movement. I love the concept of urban extension: I think urban brownfields are the ideal sites for high tech greenhouse operations like Houwelling: Not on top of prime top soil, close to their employees, utilities, and transportation.
