I have a laundry-to-landscape system in Trinity County. Works great and it didn't require a permit from the Building Department. However some counties (like Shasta) do require a permit review from the Environmental Health department. Those "permits" weren't addressed by the legislation. As a result, almost no laundry-to-landscape in Shasta County. So I'd suggest you check with all the relevant County departments before installing your system.
