Interesting to hear the update. I attended UCD in 1970-1972, had Bill Longhurst and Howdy Howard on my thesis committee and used tissue samples from deer collected at Hopland for the genetic analysis I did in support of wildlife law enforcement techniques.

I was involved with predator control when Compound 1080 was being considered for re-licensing, and have seen the problems with secondary toxicity of lead projectiles and poison bait on condors.

Please keep me on the mailing list. I live in Geyserville, and have neighbors who graze cattle.
