So happy for our spider members of life. Save a Spider Day is a gracious help to their well-being. I just wrote a book in dedication to my deceased brother who loved every insect, bug, and spider he would protect. When he was about 4 years old, he couldn't say spider. He spoke to them as 'bizer.' He did what he could to return them to nature when found in the house.
Many thanks to Entomological Society of America for their care.

I found a male regal jumping spider and he was soaking wet and barely moving. I dried him off and he wasn't showing any signs of life. I got the end of a matchstick and lightly pumped his abdomen trying to get blood flow. after about a couple minutes of pumping and keeping him dry he started moving again. I don't know if I did spider CPR or not but he's alive! By the way, I'm not making this up and legit searched for a forum about spider anatomy and took a shot at it. Glad I found this forum to share the story.
