Thank you for sharing Wendy. I always enjoy your blog posts. Those statistics are alarming indeed, and further prove the need to continue investing in our California state nutrition programs.

First off, you seem to read an awful lot for a "non-reader"! haha

Jokes aside, thank you for sharing your experience. The statistics are indeed staggering especially when alongside the amount we spend on health care and preventable and chronic disease.

I had the pleasure of meeting A.G. with Glenda my first year at ANR during the Joint Strategic Initiatives Conference. His passion for farming, food banks and alleviating hunger in CA was inspiring to me during my food bank days prior to joining ANR.

It's great to hear California's presence is growing in these contexts. California can certainly add a great deal to the conversation to feeding the future nutritiously.

And our new Food Entrepreneurship Academic Coordinator, Zac Salinger, founded a Vertical Farm start-up in New Orleans while in grad school. I'll be sure to introduce you!

Hi Wendy - what book of Warren Buffett did AG reference (the link goes to something else)? I'm a huge fan of Warren, but as far as I know he hasn't written any books and anything referencing him are collections of quips, analyses of his investment style or biographies written by others - the best of which is "Snowball" written by Alice Schroeder who was given unprecedented access Warren and his inner circle.
