I have an over grown fortnight Lilly that I need to remove. Could you please tell me know to remove it? We have cut it back, top it, cut the sides short, tried digging it out and it refuses to be removed. Please Help it must go!!

Fortnight lily can be challenging to remove because it grows via rhizomes. You have three options: Dig as much or the roots/rhizomes out and sift the soil to remove all rhizome fragments, monitor the area and cut off any emerging new shoots immediately on sprouting; or dig out and cover with black tarp for year; cut down to ground and paint an herbicide on the cut surfaces.
