The California Center for Urban Horticulture and the California Master Gardener program have partnered with Burchell Nursery to bring you Your Sustainable Backyard: Fruit Trees on Friday August 20th at Burchell Nursery in Oakdale, CA. We’re very excited to have the workshop hosted at a nursery and hope that you will join us for this exciting learning opportunity. Our workshop will focus on selecting trees, planning for your home orchard, summer pruning and staking, and troubleshooting pests & diseases. A highlight for the day will be a fruit tasting and evaluation as well as a nursery tour of Burchell’s.
Whether you’re new to fruit trees or a seasoned veteran, we’re sure you’ll take something interesting from the workshop to apply in your own home garden.
Your registration of $45 includes morning coffee/scone and lunch. At the end of the day, Burchell’s will provide each attendee with a bag of fruit to take home and share with your family. Please join us – the workshop is a great educational experience and allows for plenty of small group time and discussion with our expert educators.
You can pay by credit card or check, download the flier, agenda and directions at http://ccuh.ucdavis.edu/public.
See you there!
