This year's UCCE Annual Strawberry Production Research meeting will take place on February 5 and will be held at the Salinas Sports Complex (also known as the Rodeo Grounds) on Main Street.
For those of you who are wondering why such a big move for a meeting which has been held in Watsonville for decades, I will share with you that this decision was taken out of consideration for the safety and comfort of our guests. The Elk's Lodge is really only built for 180 people, yet this meeting regularly draws upwards of 250. We needed a larger space, and thanks as always to the super collaborative work with Joy Jacobs of the California Strawberry Commission, we have a space that fits the bill.
