Happenings in the insect world

I have been in touch with Dr. Stefan Stangaciu of Romania concerning this subject and as far as he knows only one of over 200,000 beekeepers has died of Covid-19. It seems to me that the most cost-effective way to approach this subject would be to test the antibody levels of beekeepers and apitherapists who have had direct contact with verified Covid-19 patients. If the results are significant, it would surely warrant further testing. We already know that bee venom can affect the T-cell regulators. If we can prevent the cytokine storm, we should be able to save lives. I would be glad to help in any way I can.
Thanks for listening!

Bee venom therapy may help in reducing the inflammation of COVID 19, but it doesn't help prevent it. I'm currently COVID positive and I've probably had in excess of 200 stings so far this year.

I am a 3-year beekeeper. I do not have COVID-19.

I am an apitherapist and have treated many many people with bee sting therapy since 2006.
I believe that bee sting therapy could provide an immunity to COVID-19.
Reasons why I believe this....
1.Bee stings do prevent people from getting malaria, I personally have proved that.
2. I have treated a number of HIV people in the final stages and I know in most cases this helps them recover only because the immune system has been given a wake-up call, the HIV virus still remains.

Hello,
This certainly sounds interesting. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the bees could help us out? Wondering if there is any evidence that taking royal jelly gives a person any immunity.
Thank you,
Stay healthy!

China has made past claims in the medical field in other areas in which they couldn't produce any real data.
So, while this certainly warrants further research, I am skeptical of any research that comes out of that country.

Quite interesting thinking. Worthy investigation. The sting obviously stimulates the body to react. Natural acupuncture.

I think we should try to check antibody titers on beekeepers who have had verified exposure to the COVID virus. If the number of positive beekeepers who have shown no signs is significant, then bee venom therapy could be used to save lives and reduce symptoms.

I have Lyme and co-infections for the past 28 years. I have only been aware of this after IgenX test 5 years ago. I am also insulin dependant diabetic. Apitherapy saved my life NO doubt. My wife and I are now beekeepers in northern New York. I am 65.

It would be nice and beautiful. But these claims by Andrew Wright are based on wishful thinking, there is absolutely no medicine nor science supporting them.

There was a beekeeper in Moultrie, Georgia,USA who died from COVID-19.

This is quite deep, interesting and "novel."
Novel cases require novel approach. While I respect medicine, science and research a lot, I think the embrace of "cultural humility" in our practice will make our work richer, more robust and our knowledge will be much more diverse as well as more experiential as we touch base with ancient notes, scripts and documentations.

Please try to use bee venom from honeybee's sting to treat or prevent getting covid19. Just try it does not hurt.

I am a respiratory therapist and have been practicing apitherapy for the last several years. When Covid-19 cases began showing up at the hospital where I work, I continued to sting myself regularly. To date, I have had zero COVID-19 symptoms and have definitely treated many COVID-19 positive patients. BV is an antiviral and since coronavirus causes COVID-19, it only makes sense that it could be potent against COVID-19. I've seen wonderful results already treating lyme patients with apitherapy.

I have already claimed on March 27, 2020 the bee venom is useful to treat civic 19 viruses. Already applied to get Indian patent.

My dear friend Professor Robert E. Page Jr. Hello, thank you for your efforts and that of your team to save humanity from Corona.
I have the ability to produce 0.15 mg ampoules in one milliliter of bee venom and I am willing to cooperate.
Best Regard

I am a beekeeper and I am from India. There are about 2000 beekeepers in our circle. None of us have been infected with corona. The only reason for this may be the sting of a bee. Of course, this is a research topic and you must do research on it.

I found this very interesting. I started a home hive in May 2020 and over the past month have lived and worked around people who have come down with COVID-19. I have been tested four times since, all negative. My bee mentor mentioned to me yesterday, (as I was being stung), that the venom is anti-viral. I was stung twice right before my husband and my son, both tested positive for the virus.

Am an apitherapist in Mexico and we treat patients with chronic illness on a daily basis in all Mexico. We are highly trained with many years of experience and many positive healed patients. Apitherapy is the mother of all alternatives treatments. There are many reactions from a bee sting in a person and we have successfully overcome every reaction with more bee stings( hard to imagine but when you know what your doing it does not compare to any “ study “ ) I would not change it for anything.

Why the bee sting therapy has still not been executed to test its role in Covid treatment?

I am an engineer. My granddads and grandmoms used to do bee stings--never had the flu. In 2020 my wife set thre dozen bees for me. I did two times less for her. She got COVID in October. Very short and light form. We are living together in one house. I got no COVID (tested 10 times per month for work).

I have kept bees since about 8 years old now 61
Just had my second AstreZeneca jab this week.
Here is my global contribution.
The Covid19 spike protein is PLA4, as I understand.
The bee sting venom protein is bvPLA2.
It's worth evaluation to as follows.
Isolate the bee sting protein, bvPLA2, then suspend this
protein in a nano-particle, and trial as
a new potential Covid19 vaccine.
The point of Cleaverage, being of interest.
Given bvPLA2, on simple multiple X 2,if we splice,
or genetically twist and multiply the protein chain.
My gut feeling is that this sequencing will produce a very strong point if Cleaverage to destroy COVID19 incoming protein spikes in potential vaccine recipients. I would claim international patent on this original idea to produce this Covid19 vaccine as described here.

It's 100 percent proven.
