I really enjoyed reading through some of your blog posts about indaziflam. I am currently working on my Master's at CSU and have primarily focused my research on indaziflam. I am looking at more of the bare-ground, non-crop realm so it was interesting to see some of the data you presented with Alion and to read some of your papers. I will keep checking back for new posts. Thanks.

Derek,
I enjoyed meeting you at the Western Society of Weed Science meeting a few weeks ago in Colorado Springs. Congrats on winning the student paper contest! Your MS work on indaziflam behavior in soils is really great - I only wish you'd had some California orchard soils to go along with the the other ~27 soils! One of the most interesting things I took from your presentation was the remarkable difference in the soil moisture to "activate" some herbicides compared to the very low soil moisture condition in which kochia could germinate. That could explain some weed control failures and really is something to think about.
