While none of us could have predicted how our lives have changed since March 13th (the day our Master Gardener training class was canceled, followed by the rest of the classes for the year), nature has nicely filled in the gap and reassures us that life will go on.
The chaos now roiling the country — a pandemic, a protest movement, and the sharpest economic downturn in decades — bears some resemblance to the chaos of 1980, 1968, and 1932. I lived through two of those three eras, and while “normal” is a continually-shifting goal, we all adapted, and continue to do so.
Lately, many people have rediscovered their love of playing in the soil and growing pretty and/or delicious plants. I hope that folks cleave to that love because Nature prevails and can be rewarding on several levels. That said, my garden is a source of great joy in regular times, and more so this year. So, please enjoy the following pictures from my garden. Then go appreciate yours.
