I’m finding lady bug larvae hanging from their tails, upside down. Their heads and legs are exposed. They seem to turn a dusty grayish black. This looks different from when they mature into an adult ladybug. Are these guys dead? And what do you suppose is killing them? Quite a few are like this.

If you could submit a picture of your ladybugs to jmbaumbach@ucanr.edu, I could have a look and see what's going on. Jennifer
