Thank you for the information on root cutting. My question is on boring bugs on fruit trees. I have had issues on apples,cherries,and peach. Almost all bores have been 2 inches or higher above painted trunks. I have sandy loam soil with 4" to 6" mulch.

Great article. This really explains everything the people need to know so that they'll stop doing it.
