It is fascinating to take in new ideas on a walk.
We just moved to a new ( temporary neighborhood ) in St. Helena. The garden at this home is totally different than my Rocky Woodland Napa Garden in Alta Heights. Citrus grow abundantly well and the soil is totally different. I’ve yet to get out and plant but the fall bulb planting peaks my interest.
This garden has many different trees, oranges, lemons, persimmons, fig, dogwood, and a huge stand of redwoods bordering the back of the property.
Walking the neighborhoods I see similar plantings and since available
water was very scarce this early fall and I thought our row of summer wilting citrus would die but they have bounced back and look quite healthy after the rains.
