I want to plant Persimmon tree in my back yard, where can I find it and when to plant it.

Hello Anita, thanks for your question. Now is the time of year when you can find bare root fruit trees at nurseries and gardening centers. Call around to see what you can find. You'll also want to investigate whether you want a 'Fuji,' type persimmon you can eat fresh that's crunchy like an apple, or 'Hachiya,' the persimmon used once soft for baking. Personally when this one is soft I like to just eat it with a spoon.
