With our temperatures still in the above normal and the calendar saying it is fall, it's also the time of the year that the Master Gardeners ready their gardens for winter. It is also the time when the Master Gardeners prepare for our Annual Wreath Workshop. This is the first since COVID two years ago. We are excited to put this on for the public again.

The Master Gardeners have already started drying flowers and other plant parts that can be used on the wreaths. If you're interested in attending the Wreath Workshop, this year the cost is $50.00 to make a wreath for your home. There will be an assortment of dried materials to use. Including hydrangeas, agapanthus, bunny tails, sedum and so much more.

You will receive a box with assorted greens, a wreath frame, and wire. There will also be a variety of ribbons for bows to add to your wreath. The box of fresh greens and the assorted dried material you can make a wreath you will love.

The event is held Saturday, December 3, from 12 to 4 at the Community United Methodist Church, in Fairfield.

There is also a Marketplace where you can purchase items for your holiday gifts. These items are made by very talented Master Gardeners. The proceeds from the Marketplace go back to the Master Gardener Program to support local programming.
