The Heirloom tomato cultivars look really interesting. I bet their taste is slightly different to more widely used tomatoes. I love tomatoes, I think they are amazing and that's why I love Italian food so much.

I saved seeds from four heirloom varieties in 2010 and planted them last year. They looked the same but didn't taste like the original tomatoes. Because I had the plants together in my yard, does the cross-pollination affect the flavor outcome?
