I've seen these wonderful cactus grown in such a way that it created a fence or surrounded an area. Do you have to worry about underground rodents or deer eating the newly planted Nopales?

Fantastic article with good coverage of all propagation information- which was just what was needed to answer a UC Santa Clara Master Gardener Help Desk question. We had an inquiry about how to start for mass production on a Gilroy property.

After I find out the health benefits of Nopal, I desire to have it planted in my Country on a large scale. Is this possible?
