UC Cooperative Extension will host the annual corn field meeting on Tuesday, October 15th, from 10:00-11:30am, on Tyler Island in Sacramento County. The agenda is pasted below and attached. In addition to providing information on the annual corn variety trial, this year's agenda includes presentations on nitrogen management for the upcoming small grains season. The attached version of the agenda includes a map and directions to the field site. We have applied for CCA continuing education credits, and light refreshments will be provided. UC Cooperative Extension will host a Soil Health and Cover Cropping Field Meeting on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 10:00am to noon, on Staten Island in the San Joaquin County Delta. The agenda is pasted below and attached. The meeting will begin with a few presentations at the Staten Island grain silos, on the north end of the island, before showcasing the warm-season legume cover crop that is grown between winter small grains. This is a reminder that the annual UC Small Grains/Alfalfa-Forages Field Day will be held on May 15th at the University of California, Davis Department of Plant Sciences Field Headquarters from 8AM – 4:30PM.
The event showcases UC efforts in breeding and agronomic research related to small grains, alfalfa and forage crops and is one of the longest running field days in the state. The schedule for the day is available
