About the Event

Event Details

Avocado is primarily grown in Southern and Central California. These regions face uncertain water supplies, mandatory reductions of water use, and the rising cost of water, while efficient use of irrigation water is one of the highest conservation priorities. This training workshop aims to focus on water management related issues in avocados including Recent Irrigation Study on Avocado Crop Water Use; Irrigation System Efficiency and Water Distribution Uniformity; Rootstock on Salinity Tolerance of Avocados; Biochar-Based Filtration to Improve the Safety of Treated Wastewater for Avocado Irrigation, and Soil Moisture Sensing.
