Conservation Corps of Long Beach

The LA River Ranger Pilot Program is a partnership made possible by the Conservation Corps of Long Beach, the Watershed Conservation Authority (WCA), and the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC). The Program provides job training for young adults ages 18-26 through the Conservation Corps of Long Beach. 

*This is a closed course available only to Long Beach Conservation Corps participants.

Organization Description: The training the young adults receive through the California Naturalist Program enhances their work assignments as interpreters and stewards in some of the most heavily used public open spaces in Southern California. Participants build skills and knowledge that prepare them for college and careers, and upon course completion, are eligible for four units of academic credit from UC Davis Extension.
