What is a Santa Clara County 4-H Ambassador?
Sponsored by the Santa Clara County 4-H Advisory Committee, 4-H Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the county 4-H office, members, volunteers, and the public. They visit local clubs, connect with community organizations, and represent the county at the annual 4-H State Leadership Conference.
Participation in county, sectional, and state activities may vary. Ambassadors serve as visible role models for fellow members, their county, and the broader community.
Why does 4-H have County Ambassadors and where do they fit with the rest of 4-H?
The Santa Clara County 4-H Ambassador rank recognizes both leadership and service. It is a working honor that gives members the opportunity to serve the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program.
