Student Nutrition Advisory Council (SNAC) Clubs
4-H SNAC creates opportunities for youth in low-income communities to develop leadership skills related to healthy living, cooking, nutrition, physical activity and public speaking. 4-H SNAC is a partnership between the UC 4-H Youth Development Program; CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE; school districts; community-based organizations; families; and volunteers.
4-H SNAC Clubs create spaces for:
- Youth-adult partnerships around healthy living in underserved communities
- Opportunities for youth to teach peers and family members about nutrition and physical activity
- Youth leadership and public speaking
- Youth-driven projects which may include: cooking, community service, STEM in the kitchen, and gardening for food.

Oceano Student Leaders Partner with SLO County Food Bank
4-H SNAC students practiced their nutrition, culinary and presentation skills this summer by partnering with the SLO County Food Bank to deliver nutrition education services to food bank clients.
