SoCal Water Resources Program
Programs and Focus Areas
SoCal Water Resources is the public-facing platform of the Urban Watershed Resilience Program at University of California Cooperative Extension. Through this platform, the program shares educational resources, blog series, applied learning, outreach activities, and partnership opportunities focused on resilient water systems, healthier watersheds, and sustainable water practices across Southern California.
The Urban Watershed Resilience Program is organized around five core water resilience themes: Drinking Water Quality, Environmental Water Quality, Water Use Efficiency, Water Supply Security, and Water Equity.
Through these focus areas, we provide research-based information, educational resources, outreach, applied learning, and partnership opportunities to help communities, agencies, educators, residents, planners, water professionals, and decision-makers address Southern California’s water challenges.
