Resources for Dealing with Wildfires
The UC Master Gardener Firewise Guide:
“Firewise Home and Landscape” is out!
If your house has safely made it through the fires of the last few years, you are either an expert at firewise landscaping already, or you were just plain lucky!
In the latter case, why not increase your peace of mind by becoming an expert?
Contrary to what most people believe, your landscaping doesn’t have to look drab, or worse, consist of rocks only, in order to be firewise!
Our UC Master Gardener Firewise guide will show you how to have a firewise AND beautiful home and landscape, step by step, with lots of pictures and important little details you may not have thought of.
This guide is available at the UC Cooperative Extension Office on 883 Lakeport Blvd. in Lakeport for $12.00. The UCCE Office is open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. A copy can also be mailed to you for $14.00. If you are interested in having a copy mailed please contact the UCCE Office at (707) 263-6838.
