UC Master Food Preserver
The University of California Master Food Preserver Program provides education and outreach on research-based information on home food safety and preservation. The program equips Californians with the knowledge and skills to safely preserve food at home.
Become a UC Master Food Preserver
The UC Master Food Preserver Program invites adults interested in helping others learn about safe home food preservation to apply for certification as a UC Master Food Preserver volunteer. Prior food preservation experience is not required.
UC Master Food Preserver volunteers learn research-based food preservation techniques, then share that knowledge with local communities through public demonstrations, presentations, social media, and information booths at farmers markets and county events.
