Adult Recognition County Awards

The Tulare County 4-H Youth Development Program offers the following awards to 4-H volunteers and members of our community that made a signification contribution to the program:

  • 4-H Alumni - This award is to honor individual former 4-H members who have performed outstanding service in their job or profession, and have made a valuable contribution as a volunteer in youth, civic, public, religious, political or school activities.  The individual's outstanding performance may be in the community, county, state, nation, or world.  The individual must have been a 4-H member at one time in his/her life, but need not have been a member in the county where he/she is being recognized.  The individual being nominated for Alumni Recognition does NOT have to be currently active in the 4-H program as a leader or supporter.
  • Outstanding 4-H Leader - This award is to honor a 4-H Leader who has provided outstanding leadership at club, area, and county levels.
  • Friend of 4-H Award - This award is to honor an individual (other than 4-H leaders and advisors) who has made contributions or has performed a service that is beyond the ordinary, and affects more than one 4-H club.
  • Distinguished Service Award - This award is to honor an organization or firm that has made contributions or has performed a service that is beyond the ordinary and affects more than one 4-H club.

The above awards may be received only once in the County by an individual, organization, or business.  Nominations may be submitted by any 4-H Adult Volunteer, Youth Member, or Parent.
