Countywide 4-H Events

Contra Costa County 4-H

Throughout the year, Contra Costa County 4-H hosts a variety of events that allow members to learn new skills, showcase their projects, and connect with other 4-H members.

These events are open to 4-H members across the county. Some events may require advance registration.


Fall Events


Achievement Night

September 20, 2025

Achievement Night celebrates the accomplishments of 4-H members from the previous program year.

Members receive recognition for:

  • Star ranks

  • Special awards

  • Scholarships

The evening also includes a slideshow highlighting activities from clubs across the county.


Winter Events


County Ambassador Event

February 7, 2026

This year’s event focuses on artificial intelligence and everyday life. Members will explore ethical questions about AI, including its impact on the environment and artistic expression.


Presentation Day

February 7, 2026

Presentation Day allows members to demonstrate their public speaking skills.

Participants can choose from several presentation formats and advance through more challenging styles as they gain experience.


Food Fiesta

February 7, 2026

Food Fiesta is a culinary event where members demonstrate their cooking knowledge and skills through food preparation and presentations.


Spring Events


County Carnival Fundraiser

March 21, 2026

The County Carnival is a fundraiser that supports local 4-H programs and activities.


Fashion Revue

April 18, 2026

Fashion Revue gives members the opportunity to showcase clothing and textile projects they have created while learning about sewing, design, and presentation.


Showmanship Clinic

April 18, 2026

This clinic helps members improve their showmanship skills when presenting animals at fairs or competitions.


Stills Event

April 18, 2026

Members showcase their creative projects, including art, photography, and other visual exhibits.


Summer Events


Contra Costa 4-H Summer Camp

June 14–20, 2026

4-H Camp is a week-long residential camp where youth participate in outdoor activities, team building, and leadership development.
