ALL Written level tests can now be taken online!

SLO County 4-H members are encouraged to advance their skills through a process called “Level Testing,” a system of standards used to train, educate, and test knowledge & skills related to animal projects. Participation is completely voluntary.
The Level Testing Program adopted by SLO County 4-H is based on the various 4-H Animal Science Curriculums. Members may advance one written level each 4-H year.
• Practice as much as you’d like before testing.
• Horse project curriculums are available from your project leader.
• Test at your project meeting, at a general meeting, or at the SLO County 4-H Field Day.
• Test yourself on your large or small animal species knowledge.
• Earn pins for your 4-H hat for each test you pass.
• Pass 4 large or small animal level tests and earn a Master Level pin!
Tests can be taken at a project meeting, at any general meeting, or at the SLO County 4-H Field Day in June.
4-H Members can take as many level tests as they’d like at 4-H Field Day. They can take tests for any animal species; they don’t need to be in all the projects.
Project leaders, please contact the 4-H office to obtain access to the written level tests for you project members.
