Fire Network Events

The Fire Network offers programming through our statewide team of local extension advisors, campus faculty and specialists, and staff. We deliver research and extension programming in four key thematic areas related to land stewardship, wildfire preparedness, post-fire recovery, and workforce development. Fish & Fire 2026 

Join us for the 4th annual Fish & Fire Workshop, hosted as part of the 43rd annual Salmonid Restoration Conference! This workshop provides a rare space to learn about research, management, and policy at the intersection of fish, water, and fire. These workshops are known for their interesting presentations, rich dialogue, door prizes, and spirited audiences. 

Whether you are a fish person, a fire person, or just curious, we hope you’ll join!

Pile Burning Workshop

Join us to learn essential skills for safely burning piles created through
vegetation management or fuel reduction projects. This workshop is designed to support property owners, ranchers and land stewards. We will cover key topics, including weather conditions, permits, necessary tools, how to safely construct and light piles, and proper monitoring.
