Committee Opportunities
What Committee Chairs and Teams Do
Each 4-H event and activity is powered by volunteers, youth, and families working together on committees.
If you serve as a Committee Chair, you are responsible for:
✅ Communicating directly with the 4-H Office about:
- Meeting dates, times, and locations
- Event and activity updates for the public
- Registration details and deadlines
- Other important committee communications
✅ Forming your committee team with at least two adult volunteers and two youth members of intermediate age or older (11+).
✅ Submitting a committee budget to the Administrative Oversight Committee.
(Guidance for budgets is available from the County 4-H Office upon request.)
✅ Must be enrolled in 4-H as a Volunteer or youth Member
