About the Symposium
Designed for land managers, arborists, and other professionals whose work includes tree health and/or pest management (as well as anyone seeking an in-depth understanding of the pest-disease complex), the 2025 ISHB–FD Symposium will help you to:
• Identify the presence of ISHB–FD and consider best management approaches
• Learn about the Greater shothole borer (Euwallacea interjectus) and the new challenges it may present for California
• Understand the new ISHB–FD threat map and how to use it
• Explore promising research aimed at managing ISHB–FD

Registration Fees

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Four CEUs approved from:
• California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR)
• International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)
👉👉 Online attendees requesting CEUs must complete a post-event exam.
Optional Field Exercise
🕜🕜 1:30 – 3:00 pm 📍📍 Cox Sports Park, Ladera Ranch With guidance from leading experts, practice identifying and evaluating ISHB–FD infestations and damage.
No CEUs are associated with this portion of the symposium. If symposium attendees indicate sufficient interest (question on registration form), a similar exercise will be scheduled in Northern California (San Jose) at a future date.
