Want to know more about how compost is made? Come to watch the whole process, learn about different types of compost, and hear all about the values and potential risks of compost.

What are the feedstocks? What critical processing questions? How can you optimize food safety and build proper management and monitoring practices?  What are the important attributes for soil health and food safety?

An exciting day of collaboration and discovery, unifying both food safety and sustainability experts – bringing content and learning opportunities for how compost can safely be integrated into best produce safety and sustainability practices.

Location: ComGro Compost Facility, Hollister, CA (directions to be provided after registration). After the yard tour, lunch will be at Dunneville Market & Kitchen

Workshop price: $25 (includes lunch) 

Lunch options: Order is placed during registration. Additional sides, drinks (water will be provided) are available for purchase at the restaurant. 

       1. The Original + Fries: 5 oz Tri Tip 

       2. Cheeseburger + Fries: 1/2 lb Burger, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickle 

       3. Fried Chicken Sandwich + Fries: Fried Chicken, Apple Slaw, Pickles, Chipotle Mayo, Brioche Bun 

       4. House Made Veggie Burger + Fries: Housemade Veggie Patty, Arugula, Roasted Peppers, Sautéed Onions, Tomato, Roasted Garlic Mayo, Telera Roll 

       5. Caesar Wrap+ Fries: Sweet Gem Lettuce, Housemade Caesar Dressing, Croutons, Parmesan, Tortilla
