Email Signatures

As part of the UC ANR brand refresh, the UC Master Gardener Program is introducing a new standardized email signature template. Updating your email signature ensures that all staff, coordinators, and volunteers present a professional, unified look across the state. Please update your signature starting Monday, Oct. 13, and complete the switch by Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.

Why Update?

Your email signature is often the first impression people see in digital communication. A consistent signature:

  • Strengthens our program’s statewide identity.
  • Highlights our connection to the University of California.
  • Ensures a professional, modern, and accessible format for all recipients.

Email Signature Template

Following guidance from UC ANR's communication toolkit we recommend that the following general template be used for email signatures so that we present as a unified organization to our external contacts.

How to Install

We’ve created easy-to-follow guides with screenshots for both PC and Mac users.

  1. Copy the signature information above
  2. Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures
  3. Paste the template into the “Edit Signature” box
  4. Replace placeholder text with your information
  5. Check font (Aptos body), font size (12), and color (black)
  6. Set it as your default for New Emails and Replies/Forwards
