2026 SJC and Delta Field Crops Meeting

UC Cooperative Extension will host the SJC and Delta Field Crops Meeting on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The meeting location is the Cabral Agricultural Center in Stockton (2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton, CA 95206). A printable version of the agenda is attached at the bottom of this post. 8:45am    Regulatory Update: Kamal Bagri, San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner

9:15am     Understanding and Managing Herbicide-Resistant Weeds: Giuliano Galdi, UCCE, Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties

9:45am    Weed Management in Rice: Whitney Brim-DeForest, UCCE, Sutter/Yuba, Sacramento, and Placer Counties

10:15am   Break

10:30am   Intercropping Alfalfa in Young Almond Orchards: Lauren Hale, USDA-ARS, Parlier

11:00am   Sampling Manure for More Precise Nitrogen Application: Nick Clark, UCCE, Kings, Tulare, and Fresno Counties

We have submitted applications for continuing education. If approved, credits will be for pesticide licensing (DPR: 0.5 of L, 1.5 of O), certified crop advisers (0.5 of MM, 0.5 of SW, 2.0 of PM, 0.5 of CM), and nitrogen/irrigation management (1.5).
