UCANR

X Best Practices

UC ANR uses X (formerly Twitter) to share news, research, and events. Posts are limited to 280 characters. UC ANR does not use X Premium, so extended posts are not an option.

For account setup requirements and registration, see Guidelines and Policies for Branded UC ANR Accounts.

Set Up Your Account

Assign at least two team members as backup account admins. Then register your new account.

Best Practices

Optimize Your Profile

Use a clear, high-quality logo for your profile photo. Write a concise and engaging bio, include relevant keywords, and add a link to your website or landing page. Consider pinning a post to highlight your latest key message.

Share Engaging Content

Post a variety of content types including text, images, videos, polls, and live audio via X Spaces. Share industry insights, tips, behind-the-scenes content, or news to position UC ANR as a thought leader. Include relevant hashtags to increase discoverability, but keep them moderate to avoid clutter.

Interact With Your Audience

Respond promptly and professionally to mentions, replies, and direct messages. Repost or comment on relevant posts in your field to show engagement and encourage user-generated content, tagging your page whenever possible.

Post Consistently

Maintain a regular posting schedule to stay visible in your followers' feeds.

Make Content Accessible

Add alt text to images, use captions for videos, and avoid excessive text in graphics. Accessibility best practices ensure your content can reach the widest possible audience.
