NPI studies featured in Nutrition and Obesity Policy Research and Evaluation Network special collection
The Nutrition and Obesity Policy Research and Evaluation Network, or NOPREN, informs policies and practices designed to support the intake of healthy, nutritious foods so that everyone has a fair chance at health. It is a collaborative network of policy researchers and evaluators, practitioners, people representing professional organizations and community organizations, and people working in government agencies.
The recently released NOPREN Special Collection features 14 peer-reviewed publications authored by NOPREN members in 2024-2025, spotlighting the many ways in which NOPREN member’s research has informed nutrition policy and practice at the national, state, and local levels. Seven of the 14 featured articles were published by Nutrition Policy Institute researchers and collaborators. The articles covered topics related to the Child and Adult Care Food program, healthy beverage consumption, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Woman, Infants and Children, school meals for all policies and drinking water access in schools.
