Please join Dr. Rick Karban, UC Davis Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the Yolo County Library, Davis Branch, in the Blanchard Room, 315 E 14th Street, Davis. Dr. Karban will talk about communication between plants that allows them to fine tune their defenses against herbivorous insects. Plants are sensitive to many cues in their environments, and they respond in ways that increase their growth and reproduction. This will be a fascinating lecture and a chance to hear a presentation by an internationally recognized authority on plant communication.
