Become a Master Gardener

Are you passionate about gardening? Do you enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others? Consider becoming a UC Master Gardener volunteer in Santa Barbara County! As a UC Master Gardener, you'll receive in-depth training from University of California experts and then use that knowledge to help your community through education and outreach.

Our next training class will begin in December 2026. We plan to hold online information sessions in July and August.
