Fire Season Ready: Free Chipping & Wildfire Resource Fair in Shasta County
The Shasta County Fire Safe Council (SFCS) is providing a no-cost chipper service to Shasta County residents to help homeowners in reducing hazardous fuels and improving defensible space within 100 feet around their homes and outbuildings. The chart below has enrollment deadlines for different Shasta County areas. If you've missed the deadline for your area, email chipper@shastafiresafe.org to see if you can still be added to the list. SCFC is also hosting the "Ready for Wildfire" Resource Fair on April 9th at KIXE 603 N Market St., Redding, CA from 9am-12pm. Event entrance is free and you will receive expert advice, resources, and demos to help you protect your home, create fire-safe landscaping, and prepare for wildfires.
