Join us for an exciting presentation on growing tomatoes and vegetables in containers! Discover the numerous advantages of container gardening, including space-saving solutions and easy maintenance. We’ll guide you through selecting the right containers, choosing the best soil and amendments and exploring various tomato varietals and veggies that thrive in containers. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a beginner, you’ll leave with valuable tips and inspiration to create your own flourishing container garden.

UC Master Gardener Presenters:
Pat Kramer: Pat is a retired oncology nurse and a passionate gardener who has been tending her Noe Valley garden for 30 years. In 2024, Pat completed the UC Master Gardener program. Pat loves all aspects of gardening, including growing succulents, pollinators, and edibles such as herbs, container tomatoes and Meyer lemons.
Troy Weakley: Troy is a recent UC Master Gardener graduate who has been gardening since he was seven years old, when his mother gave him his first garden plot. He specializes in native pollinators including everything needed to support the plants. In his garden, all plants are grown from seed. He handcrafts all soil and nutrient additions and all flora are cultivated under meticulously controlled conditions. It is his lifelong passion.
