Summer Cortez serves as the Manager of NPI's CalFresh Healthy Living Evaluation Unit. With a master's degree in community development from UC Davis, Summer has focused her research on strategies to enhance regional food system equity and resilience. Her previous professional background is in nonprofit program management, where for seven years she led community education projects in land stewardship and food literacy.
