| File Information | Kendra Baumgartner is a grapevine pathologist with the USDA, located on the UC Davis campus. She runs a research program in sustainable viticulture, which was established in 2000 by Congressional mandate. The purpose of the program is to develop long-term, disease control strategies for winegrapes. Basic research on pathogen biology and disease epidemiology is at the core of this mission. Her research interests include: epidemiology of Pierce’s disease in north-coastal California, biological and genetic control of Armillaria root disease, and roles of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in vineyard system services. |
