Photo Information Our front yard at dusk. Our seasonal front lawn allows our yard to blend in seamlessly with the beautiful golden hills. Plantings are all low water and native species, as well as deer and gopher resistant.

Description Franklin Canyon, Martinez, Ca.June 29,2017My husband and I were watching a family of California Quail that hatched in our yard, and who's progress we have followed since the chicks looked like little brown cotton balls.I was hoping to get a good shot of the family, but they were not going to let me get close enough. I decided that the view was photo worthy even without the quail family. I leave it to your imagination to hear the soft calls of the baby quail.
