| Description | This photo was taken in my garden on October 20, 2012. A rain storm was coming in the next day so I had to get all the tomatoes harvested or I would lose the crop. I initially put he tomatoes on 6 trays, but but soon ran out of space... so up against the clock I just thought that I better finish picking...so the pile keep growing bigger and bigger. All these tomatoes were from 5 heirloom plants. Lots of tomatoes went into the freezer for cooking later; I enjoyed some fried green tomatoes and made some very special green tomato pies. When I took this photo I just thought it would be a good way to remember all those wonderful tomatoes and what fun I had growing and sharing them with friends. |
