Photo Information The tomato hornworm (Manduca quinquemaculata) is one of the most destructive pests of the garden. They consume entire leaves, small stems, and sometimes chew pieces from fruit.

Description Tomato hornworms larvae can be distinguished by their seven light-green/white v-shaped markings which extend from the dorsal line to its sides. At the rear end, the caterpillar has a bumpy horn, from which the name for the hornworm is derived.
